Happy Halloween.

It's Halloween and tonight I will be taking Connor trick or treating for the first time, of course he was here this time last year but neither of us were in a right state to go anywhere, if we had I probably would have gotten away with not wearing a costume, I looked enough of a zombie without one! And he was tiny, not even a month old. We won't be walking for miles, in fact at Connor's pace we will probably only get a few doors down but I am sure he will enjoy the treats he receives none the less!

I'll leave it untill later to post pictures of Connor in his outfit, let it be a little surprise for now. We have carved the pumpkin though, sounds messy, but he was actually a lot better behaved than I thought he would be, he had a little feel of the insides of our giant squash but that seemed to put him off so the whole experience of us scraping out the pumpkin together was much cleaner than the disaster of eating seeds and throwing the pulp everywhere that I had imagined it would be. Obviously that was the only bit Connor was allowed to help with, after the inside was emptied Mummy and Daddy took over the actual carving!

At the Park.

We took Connor for a little walk around the park today, he isn't in the best of moods today, teething and also has a cold but I thought the fresh air would do him some good and it lets him have some outdoor fun now he is walking and before Winter sets in properly or I get too huge to move, whichever happens first!

Fast and Furious.

I can't believe how quickly this second pregnancy has flown, I feel like I'm only just coming to terms with the fact that there's a new life, a new little boy alive inside me and will be here in just seven weeks time!
The speed though doesn't mean it hasn't affected me, I feel like I've been hit with a ton of bricks some days, just one ache or pain after another, especially now I'm nearing the end. Maybe it's the fact I'm more tired due to the lack of sleep I've had over the past year or maybe having two consecutive pregnancies so close hasn't given my body enough time to recover properly, either way I'm definitely feeling it this time around. It doesn't mean that I regret it or would change it for anything, I can't wait to have him in my arms or for him to meet his big brother. All I can say is roll on December!
*wow I have a lot of stretch marks!*

Walkies.

After a few solo steps here and there at first it's so amazing to see that just two weeks later Connor is practically running around now. His confidence has rocketed and now the ease of him just standing up and wandering off is really exciting to watch. I love seeing him running around and he looks so proud of himself whilst he's doing it I can't help but just watch him and smile. He amazes me everyday.

I can't believe a whole year has happened since Connor was born, twelve months already!
He has come a long way and grown so much in just one year, and I am the proudest ever seeing him learning something new almost everyday. Connor is just walking in time for being one. He climbs, crawls, chatters and never stops, absolutely full of beans and constantly on the go!

He hasn't just grown in height, although he is getting to be a big boy now, his personality and happiness has elevated, he really is his own little person with his own thoughts and preferences and he will let you know wether or not he likes something!

Connor loves playing, mainly with the things he isn't allowed to, he likes his bath time, loves his food and doesn't so much like having his nappy changed or getting dressed, I think he thinks its his precious playing time being wasted! But he really is a good baby, hardly cries, is very loving and a lot mischievous and I
couldn't love him anymore if I tried. My proper little boy! Happy Birthday Connor xx.

Naming Baby.

Posted by Unknown at 22:00:00 1 comments

Why is it sooooo hard to pick a name for your baby? There are lots of names we LIKE but to pick just one name that we both LOVE is quite a challenge.

I think one of the reasons it is so difficult is that it has to be a name that both parents agree on and like equally, this can be tricky as we both associate different names with different things. A name I like can easily be pinned to someone or something that he doesn't like and vice versa.

Another challenge of finding the perfect name is choosing something unique but something your child can live with, through their whole life, not just as a baby or child but as well as a teenager, adult and eventually even a pensioner! It needs to suit all ages and grow with them and its your responsibility.

I think the name you give your baby is a really important part of preparing for their arrival and can be a lot of fun, but when it comes to actually settling on one name it doesn't come easy.

Ow.

Waking up one morning at 24 weeks pregnant I had a strange, numb, achy feeling in my legs and lower back, this, when walking up or down stairs, became shooting pains. So off I went to the doctors, had all my reflexes checked and have been told I have sciatica.

I was planning on working quite far into my pregnancy this time however, these plans have gone out off the window with the pain I am in. I am disappointed about this but that soon fades when I think about the extra time I get to spend with Connor.

Now the waiting begins for my bump to turn into my baby, but I'm sure Connor will find something to fill our days in the meantime!
